FROM SOUTH SUDAN TO THE USA: The Journey of Eyga Mojus
As the former international title holder for Miss Grand South Sudan, and placing top 10 among 80 women globally in the 2017 Miss Grand International Pageant, Eyga has turned her six years of experience into a couple of successful businesses. Starting the ONQ Pageant Academy, a full-service consulting business offering private coaching and group training to aspiring queens looking to become successful ladies in their everyday life, while also rocking their competitions. She has also recently founded Miss Mojus Productions, which will be producing the state preliminaries for Miss Grand United States and Miss Supranational USA within the states of California and Nevada.
Aside from dabbling into the business side of pageantry, she has worked closely with Gloucester County NAACP, fundraising scholarship money for first year college students. While also being part of the Kick Leuk Foundation, dedicated to saving children’s lives through fundraising towards finding a cure for leukemia. Eyga is also strongly committed to advancing women’s issues and in 2017 she earned the award of Phenomenal Woman of Courage by the Gloucester County NAACP and US Senator Cory Booker.
Aiming to break the stereotype of beauty pageants and their queens, her goal is to inspire and enhance the lives of driven young women through her programs. Firmly believing that pageantry opens up a huge opportunity that enables a world of endless possibilities for young girls to pursue their true passions and goals as professional women that want to better serve the community. And what better way to do it than through the celebration of the glamour, beauty and diversity of womanhood?
