LIFE AND JOURNEY OF DIANNA BELLEROSE
I was born and raised in Eastern Europe in the capital Sofia. My parents and I lived with my grandmother and father in a very poor condition.The apartment we rented had two rooms and a small kitchen, I was able to see people’s feet through our window.From an early age I learned the value of love and compassion from my mother and grandmother.
Later on in school this helped me to create lasting friendships in my kindergarten, middle school and high school. I still have these friends on media places, and I am so grateful and thankful for it.
I grew up in a domestic violence and abuse environment.After almost thirty five years of marriage and giving birth to my only child I separated from him and left. It was not easy because I had established a really great life with hard work and dedication to having the best life possible. I was a self made millionaire living with a substance abuse spouse who I was taking care of and building a business. Unfortunately, things came to an end after one night when he tried to take my life.I had to leave as much as I did not want to leave my house and business behind, this was the right decision. That is how I ended up living in Los Angeles with my two dogs, my book I have written with all of the stories of my life.
My first book titled “Fire and Ice” became a Pinnacle award winning book in October 2009, and I wrote a song based on it too. My song “Fire and Ice” became an Akademia Award Winning song here in Los Angeles CA November 2015.
I came to Los Angeles and started my journey of healing and coping with what had happened to me. I had no idea how my life was going to be or what was going to happen to me. I cried my eyes out and spent a lot of time in the apartment trying to put the puzzle together. It was so difficult for me to understand why things happened the way it did after raising my daughter alone and dealing with an abusive spouse as well as losing everything.
But, I found my power inside and started to work on rebuilding my life again. I met so many people who helped me with finding jobs. Slowly, I started to create, and I shot my first movie “Fire and Ice” for which I won sixty eight awards, and it was seen all over the world.
I wrote two albums of songs which I sang at different venues here in Los Angeles. My song “I Am An Angel” became an award winning song in so many competitions.Last year “I Am An Angel” was featured in the Los Angeles Times. I have won numerous awards from the Indian government, and I was featured in the first Bollywood Magazine called “Panache” which means identity for being one of the ten most inspirational women in the world.
My journey has so many ups and downs trying to survive and make a difference with my radio show, books, songs and film making. I just released my new single yesterday “What will happen?” as well as my new documentary on YouTube. This is my third short movie after my second movie “The Warrior In Me” which won so many awards globally based on my life.
My book “The Journey of Transformation” has become one of the five hundred most empowering and inspiring books in the world.I have written seven books, and I am in the process of publishing another one soon.
ADVICE FOR GIRLS
My advice to the young girls is to never give up on themselves, no matter what is going on in their life.
We women have this power to bounce back always and create the life we always envision for ourselves. Anything is possible when you never give up and continue to push. At the end you will win, there is no way around even if you are forced to work jobs in order to provide for yourself.
You have the power to achieve anything, all you have to do is keep going.
